Make sure to warm the KMR Milk to room/body temperature. Do not cook the KMR! It is best to put the KMR in a PetAg small sterilized milk bottle and put the bottle (filled with milk) in a cup of warmed water. This slowly raises the temperature of the formula without cooking it.

Squirt a small amount of the formula on your wrist. If it is warm and feels the same as your skin its good to go! If it is too cold or too hot it can harm the kitten.

Feed kittens 2 tablespoons per 4 oz of body weight daily. Take the total daily feeding amount and divide it into equal amounts per feeding. An easy example would be if you feed your kitten 4 times a day make sure each feeding is an equal 1/4 portion of the daily amount. Daily amounts may vary based on your kittens weight.

Small and/or weak kittens should be fed every 3 to 4 hours. Larger and/or older kittens can do well being fed every 8 hours. The amount required should be increased or decreased to meet the individual requirements for each kitten. When kittens are old enough to lap, begin offering KMR in a shallow container. During the 6th week mix KMR with KMR 2nd Step Kitten Weaning Food to allow the kitten to be gradually switched to solid food.

Pregnant and lactating mothers: Feed the mother 2 tablespoons of KMR for every 5 lbs of body weight daily.

Growing kittens (post weaning), show cats, and cats recovering from illness: Feed 1 tablespoon of KMR for every 5 lbs of body weight daily.

Store the can in a cool and dry place prior to opening. After opening the formula is good for 72 hours in refrigerated environment. After 72 hours throw out the unsused formula. You can freeze the formula is single dose amounts and keep the portions in your freezer for up to 6 weeks, then discard unused formula. Do not freeze the formula in original container.
